Good, but heavy

I put this blade in one of my dueling sabers. While it is virtually unbreakable, it is also very heavy. Also, the blade walls are so thick, it tends to be less bright than a thin wall blade (as is to be expected). Overall, a great blade for duelist, but not for display.

Hi, saber fans. I don't have experience with any blade material other than this one, but I can tell you I won't use anything else. The stuff is absolutely unbreakable. You'll probably bend the threads on your MHS hilt before you break this stuff. If there are any drawbacks to this material, it is these: Flexibility on impact and blade weight. A good, solid hit will cause quite a bit of flexion, which will cause the blade to vibrate for a second or two on the rebound. The thickwall blade stock also has a bit of heft to it at greater lengths (30-40"). To be totally realistic, a saber blade should have no weight and no reaction on the strike. This is literally the only negative point I can bring up. Since I don't care to be that picky about things, I still give it five stars. I used a 6ft continuous length of transparent gift wrap I picked up from a craft store for diffusion. With a standard tip, this blade and film lit up evenly to the tip. Get one. You'll never have to replace it.

Blade holds up well! cuts are superior at WORST, Paired with a thick walled shouldered round tip with reflective disk, Clear and/or colored Cello (day blade), and some gorilla glue and you're off and running!Saber Guild ALWAYS uses these blades in choreo Combat and practice! Won't wobble too much at length (40 inch), and for all us duel wielding or short blade saber users it's a dream come true! if you're on the fence about this, BUY THEM!

WHEN IT SAID BATTLE IT MEANS BATTLE!!! I love this blade. NEXT 40" BLADE I'M GETTING IS TO CONVERT MY VADER SABER TO A LIFE SIZE ANH SABER. WILL BE BUYING MORE OF THESE :)
