Perfect dueling switch
I love this switch, i could tell right away after getting it out of the box it was quality and would be a great addition to my saber. You do have to press deeply to get it to click but that works to the duelers advantage. It also sits nicely in the palm if you use a high grip; no awkward sharp plastic stabbing while your sparring. Overall i give it a 5 for excellence.
Worth the effort of installing
I haven't experienced any trouble with these latching switches needing to be pressed too hard. It's very easy. Great switch, provides great protection. I can even hold my saber over the switch during dueling. Recommend that you install them near an open end of your saber, they can be very tricky to install.
Looks or functionality?
These switches look great, but the latching type have to be pushed pretty hard, and pretty deep. There's also a fairly loud "click" when you press the button. I have yet to install in a saber with sound; it's possible that the sound of the "firing up" would drown out the click. The momentary switches are fantastic, though.
Guarded switch
Very positive on/off switch. Defnitely great for duels without having to worry about turning your saber off. Only problem I have with these is it's way too long. If you're crammed for space like some of my sabers, this may not be the best choice for you. It's about 1.25" long and is around 1" deep into your saber.
