I used this in a Maglite build. I put one of those rubber key color coding rings around the edge and this makes it fit snug inside the Maglite blade holder, this also works to trap the color disc between the lens and the blade holder. Really works great at turning the fill light from a standard LED into a focused spot for illuminating the blade.

These lenses work better than the 5 degree lenses for ALL LEDs. They're not just for rebels, they work great for lux3, P4, etc. It gives a nice, even blade.
